Weather affects design…

Got the roof in before the RAIN this past week.

The compromise was to run the roofing on weak cedar lath — the plan is then to later reinforce this from the underside (for loads like snow / hail…)

In this case, it was a rush to get the roofing up — because keeping the east side of the Shop dry helps with the work we’ll do there this fall. Which includes repairing water damaged framing and installing a big sliding glass door (you can get anything on

The 1X2 Cedar runners will eventually be understory’d by lumber to strengthen them…

But this quickly permits putting up the SunTuff … why? Weather Forecast includes rain this past weekend.  And it did!  There was 3/4″ in the gauge.
